I approached one of my customers at my food cart to offer her a seat so she could eat more comfortably. She answered, "Wag na lang. Baka pumutok yung pigsa ko e."
A week or so later, I took the front line and asked another customer if she wanted the fried banana or the spring roll. She answered, "Wag yan (referring to the fried banana). Mukhang bayag ng walang kwenta kong asawa."
In my years of writing journals and maintaining a web log, I now have unknowingly become more honest in emails I write. Words that pour out of me are often from the heart. Over time, I have trained myself to never feel sorry about what I have committed to writing. Bloggers learn to self-edit for points people might misunderstand. I am sometimes sorry for causing emotional outbreaks in people; but never for what I wrote. From practice, I also know how to handle harsh words thrown out in a digital medium fairly well -- I don't even break into a sweat now. I have also learned shockingly beautiful ways to execute insult in writing.
So unless you can say the same thing about yourself, do not start a war of written words with me. And never when you give me soo much great material. Juvenile name calling is laughably amateurish -- it just doesn't do it for me.
I am walking away from this because you are not yourself. Insult me again when you can defend yourself better.
