My baby has had a cough for weeks now. Just a tiny one really -- not the kind that would make coughing out a lung probable. If I wasn't the worrying kind, I'd probably brush it off as an allergy (just like her brothers'). Unfortunately, when it comes to my youngest offspring, I do worry -- a darn nasty habit I picked up from my mother.
Then it turns out that her condition is not all that harmless. Over the last week, I have been a frequent visitor to doctors and drug stores, enriching them further by buying their services, the remedies they prescribe and the contraptions needed to administer their medication.
At this time when I should be writing something profound and inspirational to reassure myself and mothers like myself, it is unsettling how all I could manage is: Doesn't the Babyhaler look suspiciously like a starter "bong"?
